Frequently asked questions

What are the supported file types?

Raster:

.PSD

.PNG

.JPG

Vector:

.AI

.EPS

.PDF

What resolutions should I use?

High Resolution Images.

We recommend art files have a resolution
of at least 300 PPI (pixels per inch).
Note: Optimum image resolution is
360 ppi/dpi or higher.

What color mode should I use?

You heard it right “RGB”! We utilize the latest
printing technology which enables us to
output the vibrant color spectrum of RGB.
You can still submit CMYK if you prefer but
are no longer limited by it’s color range.

How detailed can the graphics be?

Avoid Very Thin Lines.

Set small elements to at least 0.2mm
or thicker, this will ensure every detail gets
printed.

Can I use transparency?

Keep Full Opacity.

Unlike digital media, printers can’t correctly replicate semi-transparent effects, such as glows, fades
and shadows. This is because ink is not transparent and the printer can’t account for the color of
the material it’s being printed on. Semi-transparecy can be achieved by ensuring it is on top of a
solid opaque color.

Vector files - text

Convert Text To Shapes.

Editable text objects in your file may
not come out correctly. Convert all
text to shapes or outlines to guarantee
your typography comes out exactly the
way you want it.

Vector files - images

Embed Linked Images.

Any linked files in your artwork will not
show up on our end. To ensure they come
through, please embed them into the
main art file.

Vector files - What about pattern fills?

Expand Pattern Fills.

We may need to move your artwork around
when placing a print. If a pattern fill is used
in a design, it may come out offset if it isn't
expanded first, so make sure you expand
any pattern fills before supplying your file.

Vector files - custom spot colors

Remove Custom Spot Colors.

Our system may interpret custom spot colors
incorrectly, resulting in an undesired color.
Note: Some specialty colors such as neons,
pastels and premium metallic cannot be
matched.

Raster files - Transparent Backgrounds

If you have a transparent background,
save your file as a PNG or PSD file.
Note: Do NOT provide a JPG file if you
have any transparent sections, as these
sections will print white. Only use JPGs if
you're printing a full rectangular image
with no transparent parts.
